“T(r)ip Top Trinetra Tours”
My passion is visiting many different countries and a variety of cultures. It is my “Ecstasy” as I am on a complete high when I travel: learning about other people, their culture and traditions, seeing different places and experiencing new learning outcomes. I surf the Internet with great enthusiasm for travel. I read as many reports as I can, but importantly reading between the lines of brilliant reviews and some horrid reviews. Of all the tours TRINETRA TOURS came up most times as highly appealing to what we were looking for.So I started emailing them and immediately Mr Tapas Banjeree came back with a long and very detailed answer to my email. As it was so prompt, I decided this is certainly one company to deal with: professional. We only had a certain amount of time (and money) and of course I wanted to see everything and hence it had to be tailor-made which is their forte. But India is a vast and special place and one can't do it all at once. After our brief experience there, I don’t know if I would do it all together even if I had the time and money. There is so much to take in and learn, think about and experience. As we were based in Delhi with friends, we designed our trip in December 2010 with Tapas to see some of the highlights: get a taste of Rajasthan (Jaipur), visit a national park to see tigers (Ranthambhore) but didn’t see any,(no one’s fault) and of course see the Taj Mahal (a dream). As we like to do and see local things most of the time, we decided to take a train to Varanasi. However this was delayed by quite a number of hours (minimum 10!) and we finally decided to drive back to Delhi and fly to Varanasi (always been a dream to see the Ganges River) at an additional expense. All of this was perfectly and very professionally arranged by TT. TRINETRA TOURS were exceptionally helpful all the time in trying to give us exactly what we wanted. For instance, we wanted to see local potteries and our guide in Jaipur went out of her way to find a potter for us to visit. We walked Jaipur flat and succeeded and saw all the off the beaten track alleys and met so many local people, which was interesting. We also wanted to see the fabric block printing and silk weaving, which amongst other things, was all organised for us by TRINETRA TOURS. One doesn’t realise how long it takes to get from one place to another by car. We are used to travelling long distances with little traffic, but India is a different story. TRINETRA TOURS were always checking on how we were doing and where we were. The hotels were well sought out, very comfortable, clean and most of them had lovely gardens were one could sit out in the evenings with a drink, writing up diaries, sorting out photos by reliving the day, just meditating or even seeing cultural shows which they put on at a hotel. By having a tailor made trip one does have concerns about drivers. However, there was not once we had a safety issue: every single driver was fantastic, always considering safety first, our comfort and were very friendly. Not only were they safe drivers, but they also stopped wherever we wanted to take photos - and we stopped a lot!!Our final evening was a delicious Indian meal with Tapas and his family of TRINETRA TOURS. This made the whole trip so personal and interesting. It was also not solely an evening of getting a review, but purely an enjoyable evening comparing our countries, families with children and talking about all sorts of aspects about India in general. This was very special. The bottom line, we had a really t(r)ip top tour with Trinetra Tours and would highly recommend them, as they personalised our tour and took all our interests and wishes into account. And yes, we would go with them again when next we return to India, which hopefully will be soon.Genie Namibia
